Drunken Boat - Home

Someone on youtube recently made this video of my band's song "Home." I don't agree with the literal interpretation, but it's great to know people are still listening and moved enough to make a video of a song that's almost 20-years old. We were called Drunken Boat after the Rimbaud poem. Now there are several bands named "Drunken Boat" in this world, but we were first. I hadn't heard this song in awhile. That's me singing, by the way. Turn it up and enjoy!

I was listening to this when I was grading earlier. Now the end is going around in my head. C'mon, now. C'mon. Now. Etc. I'm enjoying it!

i saw drunken boat on a sub-freezing night in '90 or '91 in a small club in cincinnati. i was with like 4 friends, and there weren't but a few other hardy souls who made it out that february night. we had a few mushrooms and a couple of shots n beers, and drunken boat proceded to shred that room as if their was 300 sweaty, screaming people there. it was one of the purest rock n roll moments of my life. i bought everything they had for sale, and every single they released afterwards. i love them.

Todd,
I saw drunken Boat thrice.
Twice in NYc and once in Chicago.
They were beyond description.
I handed you a necktie with pink elephants on it at your Metro show.
thanks for the amazing memories.

I remember that necktie! Vividly. It makes me very happy that Drunken Boat left such a vivid impression with you. I'd love to read a "Top Ten Things I Remember About Seeing Drunken Boat" written by you. It would be lovely to see how much I might have forgotten. Feel free to email me directly if you come up with a list!
